DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE – SALVAGED SIGNS

Brew-tiful Inspiration

Our newest brew, Salvaged Signs Double India Pale Ale found its inspiration from the very walls of our brewery. We are so excited to share with you this spectacular brew that will be making its debut as part of our inaugural 16 oz. can lineup!

This Sabro and Citra hopped DIPA will only be available for a limited time – make sure you grab yours from the tap room before they’re gone!

Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose

Salvaged Signs DIPA is born out of our passion for reusing, recycling and repurposing – a mantra that we’ve incorporated into our style here at Playalinda Brewing Company.

Whether it’s the wood at Brix Project salvaged from the building’s former life as a lumberyard and manufacturing facility, the creative and historic shelving behind the bar at Hardware Store, or the spent grain from this delicious brew feeding local cattle – we are always on the lookout for creative ways to have a sustainable impact in our community.

The Sign

When our exterior sign was heavily damaged in 2017 during Hurricane Irma, our resident “Jim of All Trades” went to work literally putting the pieces back together to make what is now a pretty badass mural on the far wall of our brewery. Check out the video below!

The Beer

A big, balanced double india pale ale that finishes with hints of coconut and citrus, Salvaged Signs DIPA is more than just a beer; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainability, community, and craftsmanship – one pint at a time.

Five Years of Craft, Community, and Creativity

We started this journey with a passion for craft beer, a brewmaster whose craft knows no limit and a handful of dedicated beertenders.  Five years later, we have two locations along US 1 and beers being enjoyed all over the State of Florida.  With our amazing crew of over 80 employees, we maintain just as much drive to create great beer and a nice place to enjoy it as we did on day one.

With all that said, we owe YOU a big THANK YOU!  For your support and love of all things Playalinda.  Without our thirsty friends enjoying our locally crafted beers and cocktails, we wouldn’t be where we are today.  We hope you can come out and celebrate our 5 year anniversary the only way we know how…with our community.

On Saturday, November 9th we’re celebrating 5 years with 20 beers on tap, a grilled cheese flight with 5 delicious grilled cheeses, and live music all day. We plan on having some special beers on tap for the day including our Birthday Cake Blonde, a funfetti-cake inspired ale made complete with a whipped cream and sprinkle rim, plus many more favorites to be announced.

And yes, you read that correctly GRILLED CHEESE FLIGHT! Chef Scott and Chef Justin will be working together with Sunrise Bakery to put together a grilled cheese flight featuring 5 specialty variations of this classic snack paired alongside Playalinda beers. Other menu items will be available for the day as well.

There will also be live, local tunes from some of the musicians that have been coming to Playalinda since day one. Josh Whitaker will be playing from 12-4 PM and Damion Suomi from 6-10 PM.

In the week leading up to the anniversary, we will be hosting Archaeology on Tap: Space! with the Florida Public Archaeology Network on Wednesday, November 7th. Also, as an appreciation for nature and one of North Brevard’s most notable landmarks, Playalinda is partnering with Keep Brevard Beautiful to host a Playalinda Beach Cleanup on Thursday, November 8th at 2 PM.

It’s going to be a special day and we hope you will join us for the fun! Cheers to five incredible years!

3 Years of Great Beer

We invite you to celebrate 3 Years of Great Beer with us at Playalinda Brewing Company!

Playalinda Brewing Company was born three years ago as a project to establish North Brevard County and Titusville in Florida as a craft beer destination from a group of passionate owners including Donna & Bryan Scott and Ron & Katie Raike.

Playalinda remains the only brewery in Titusville and has had great success and acceptance of the community since opening its doors in November 2014, most recently being voted best brewery in Cocoa and Brevard County in Florida. Since opening its doors, Playalinda has outgrown its original Hardware Store location and opened a larger production facility in South Titusville in 2016, Brix Project and has signed a state-wide distribution contract with Cavalier Distributing. “It’s been an incredible journey so far and we are thrilled to see what comes next, the opportunities seem limitless and with the support of the Space Coast and Central Florida community we believe that anything is possible. ” says Co-Owner Donna Scott.

As November marks three years for Playalinda they will be hosting a party on November 18th at their Hardware Store location in Downtown Titusville. The celebration will be complete with an incredible beer lineup including the release of Milkshakes IPA. For the anniversary Milkshakes IPA will be available in crowler and growler fills. In addition to the release of Milkshakes IPA there will be live music from Josh Whitaker throughout the day and food from Playalinda’s brewery kitchen, including cupcakes (it’s only appropriate, right?).

Three years later and Playalinda and its owner have done a spectacular job of crafting a culture of great beers, quality food, awesome employees and a unique atmosphere that embraces the Space Coast community. They put their blood, sweat and tears into growing the success of Playalinda and we would love to celebrate with nothing other than some delicious beers.

Date & Time:

Saturday, November 18th | Noon – midnight

The events typically start at the paddle location which varies depending on the tour, then finish up at Playalinda Brewing Company – Hardware Store, located in historic downtown Titusville.

Here is a peek at some of our upcoming Paddle & A Pint events:

Bioluminescence Paddle & A Pint – Dinoflagellate | Friday, October 20 @ 7:15 PM

In the warm and dark lagoon waters on the Space Coast of Florida lies a natural phenomenon of glowing blue waters alive with activity called bioluminescence. The swirling of your hand, every paddle stroke, the darting trails of nearby fish swimming, the torpedo-like aura of a dolphin swimming by all spark the blue that many compare to the “Avatar” or “Life of Pi” movies, and some even recall “those Gatorade commercials” as the gentle plankton leave a trickling glow when holding it in your hands. Being on a wildlife refuge, other wildlife often makes appearances as well! Frequent visitors include manatees, dolphins, herons, other endangered species of birds, and even the occasional gator. Escape with us to the most pure and otherworldly experience that natural Florida has to offer. Register here

Dolphin and Manatee Encounter Paddle & A Pint | Saturday, November 4 @ 10 AM

The Merritt Island Refuge is one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet with a great concentration of marine life including, Dolphin, many kinds of birds, the occasional gator, and over 32 endangered species. The diversity of life, paired with beautiful scenery, make kayaking this Florida location a must for vacationers and residents alike. We regularly have Manatee sightings throughout much of the year, but especially from April through October. This two hour tour on the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, east of Titusville, Florida, is on one of the most diverse estuaries in North America. Make contact with Florida’s most endangered species, the West Indian Manatee. There are few places in the world where an endangered species will approach you. This is one. We also regularly see bottle nosed dolphin and many wading birds. Be sure to visit our photo gallery and Facebook and read testimonials about this exciting tour. Register here

Bioluminescence Paddle & A Pint – Comb Jelly | Sunday, November 19 @ 5:30 PM

In the cooler Florida months, bioluminescent Comb Jellies congregate in the protected waters of the Indian River Lagoon. Living in the most bio-diverse estuary in North America, Comb Jellies are clear, glob-like creatures that, despite their name, do not sting! So as you paddle the calm waters laced with mangroves and palm trees, you can catch and hold these gentle glowing creatures. They’re right at your fingertips while having a safe, awe-inspiring kayak adventure with those who share your enthusiasm for new and unique experiences. See for yourself in our Comb Jelly video! There is movement everywhere. Dolphins are rounding up their dinner, manatees are moving into the shallows to find a comfortable spot to spend the night. As the light fades and the sky ignites with dynamics color, “Mullethead Island,” a federally protected rookery, buzzes with activity as many of the refuge’s 358 unique bird species flock above you to their protected nests for the night. Typical species to expect include Ibis, herons, egrets, pelicans, cormorants, and roseate spoonbills, all set to the backdrop of rocket launch pads and iconic NASA landscape. Launch into your escape.
