Playalinda Brews First-Ever Surfing Santa Beer

Playalinda Brewing Company brews the first-ever, official beer of the famous Surfing Santas event in Cocoa Beach.

Hoppy Holidays!

The famous Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach are an iconic part of the holiday season here on the Space Coast, and Playalinda “got on board” in 2016 and produced the first-ever, official Surfing Santa beer!

Playalinda’s Surfing Santa’s Cranberry Ale features a light, crisp blonde ale, infused with fresh cranberry juice and local orange zest. The result: A tart, refreshing and distinctly Floridian twist on a traditionally heavier holiday-inspired beers.

Working with Surfing Santas founder George Trosset, Brewmaster Ron Raike and the Playalinda team launched this holiday brew in November, 2016, with a North Pole-themed launch party at Playalinda’s Brix Project location in south Titusville.

This inaugural batch of Surfing Santa’s Cranberry Ale was a big hit along the Space Coast, selling out at both Playalinda Brewing Company locations and distribution locations across Brevard County within weeks of it’s launch.

The 2016 Surfing Santas event drew more than 6,000 spectators and hundreds of “surfing santas” on Christmas Eve morning in Cocoa Beach.

Playalinda is proud to have been a part of this exciting, positive and community-focused event. We look forward to an ongoing collaboration with the Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach for many years to come.
